Christmas is said to be the most wonderful time of year. Unfortunately for many like myself,  it can be the most stressful time of year. As you all know by now, I live the student life, which includes a very limited budget, and very little spare time.

I know we all wish we could give our loved ones the world but we don’t want to break the bank to do so. This blog post won’t necessarily change your life. It will however give you some inexpensive DIY gift ideas that could brighten up any ones day without breaking the bank!

1) Watercolour Coffee Mugs

You can easily visit your nearest Walmart or Dollarama to pick up the supplies to create this cute mug for your favourite coffee lover. (I’d suggest using christmas colours)

4) Arm Knitted Scarf

This scarf is what gave me the idea to write this blog. I was contemplating on what to get my mother with my very few dollars and saw this on Pinterest. It was perfect!

And last but not least…

5) The Gift of Company

Now I know you weren’t expecting me to include this as a gift, and it is a little cheesy but, it’s true. Next week I will be out in the -25 below weather caroling with my dance group. Why you may ask? The joy that a song can bring to people is something to be cherished and it is the most inexpensive and simplistic gift of all.

Don’t forget – It’s the little things that count.

Until next time,

Ana xo
